In today's world, at least in America, social media has become a staple in our society. My grandma is even on social media, granted she doesn't know how to do much of anything on it but she is still using it. According to Statista Global, 70% of the United States is on Social Media. If there is 325.7 million people living in the US as of 2017, that means there are 227,990,000 people who have a social media profile. As a business, why wouldn't you want to tap into that market? And remember, that is just in the US.

Social media has an uncanny ability to attract your perfect audience. For example, if you are selling golf equipment and you consistently post golf related posts on your social media channel than people who love golf will naturally start following your page (if they like your content). Now, you can sell to these people who you already know are far more likely to buy.
